Circular biconical body
Discus composed of row of beads and zigzag / chevron pattern
Central large-lipped filling-hole
Round wick-hole at the edge of the discus, surmounted by a cross
Small vertical conical knob handle
Raised base-ring; within, a rosette with eight pointed petals, stamp of lamp maker (see graphic from the J. Paul Getty Museum Catalogue of Ancient Lamps)
Cracks and restoration
Asia Minor 7th to 8th century A.D.
Diameter: 7.9 cm
Type: Bagatti 3 with some affinities among early Islamic lamps.
