Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Alfred Czerepak was a well-known landscaper of Cape Ann -Rockport and Gloucester- Massachusetts; he had a small studio in East Gloucester and for 15 years he was a teacher at Montserrat School of Visual Arts in Beverly, Massachusetts and it is said that he was taking students to places such as the town dump to teach them the beauty of ordinary things.
