Adapted from a Thracian rhyta (4th century B.C.) now part of the Borovo Treasure at the Rousse Regional Historical Museum, Bulgaria, our rhyton is crafted exclusively for Lapidarius
A one of a kind - lost wax technique, pure silver (1000/1000) and pure gold
The rhyton is shaped like a horn, finished with a crouching bull, lion's head between his legs with a hole in the muzzle.
The rhyton is a drinking or libation vessel with a bottom hole.
The idea is to scoop fluid from the wide mouth and to hold it with one's thumb at the bottom's hole than let the fluid run into the mouth or onto the ground in libation.
